Frequently Asked Questions

Can I join your team?
We're very honoured to have this as a frequently asked question however the way the team structure works, it's basically a group of long term friends we all know well and train with on a regular basis. Therefore, it's very unlikley that anyone we do not know ends up joining. But you can still ask.. :-D

Where can I go to learn your moves?
Thanks to a lot of effort over the past years put in by many of the unsung heroes who train regularly in their areas around the world without any recognition, you can probably find someone training right in your own neighbourhood. So keep your eyes open for them and start by looking in some of the more obvious places like skateparks, etc. The internet also offers a great resource for anyone wanting to view training videos, and forums for people to read articles and discuss techniques. You only need to type in Parkour and Free Running into your favourite search engine to see the many results. Although there are a number of so-called "official" parkour workshops set up by some of the larger groups, this is by no means the ONLY way to train. Feel free to join up and learn the basics in the beginning with some of the more experienced members, but ultimately... you should be out on your own finding your own style and sharpening up your own skills.

Could you please come to my city? We want to see you train.
Thank you for the offer. TT members tend to find themselves in many parts of the globe doing the thing we love the most and we are very grateful for that. If we are set to go to a specific area we try and get the information up on our site as soon as possible, but it's not always possible. Feel free to get in touch with us and let us know where you are from. Who knows, maybe we can meet up one day and train together. :-)

Can you recommend any clubs, groups, or individuals who do parkour?
While we do meet a lot of traceurs and free runners in the gobal community, we don't train with everyone on a regular basis and so it's difficult to recommend someone specific. It depends on where you are from, what level you feel you might be at, what your goals are and what you want to learn. Some want to learn how to do a back- or frontflip, in which case your best bet is to go to your nearest gymnastics hall and learn from them. If it's to further develop your parkour skills then a quick internet search should bring up locals who are training near you. Drop us a line and we'll see if we can help.

I have been training for many months now and I want to start a Parkour team in my neighborhood. Any advice?
Yes, take your time. There is no rush to create a team. You should ask yourself what reasons you have for wanting to create a team. Is it financial, fame or for training purposes? Teams generally form by themselves after you have been training with a group of friends for some time. This is generally the best method and one we would strongly recommend. Once you've decided to start a team, the next step is to make sure that everybody agrees as to what the team is about and work together to achieve those goals. And no matter what happens, stick together through thick and thin. It should really be about friendship first, otherwise you will never enjoy the experience.
